24 hr emergency service
We treat all species of domestic animals, including the following:
dogs, cats, rabbits, dairy and beef cows, sheep, pigs, horses,
reptiles, birds, camelids and seals.
The Veterinary Centre is well equipped with the latest facilities
and equipment. It has ample on site parking, with spaces also
available on the road outside.
Small animal consultations are by appointment
(except for Sat am, when we have an open surgery
between 8-30am and 10am )
If you phone 01326 572216 during the practice opening hours, one of
our receptionists will book you an appointment. So that we can provide good
continuity of care, we try whenever possible for you to see a Vet of your choice.
We do carry out home visits, for our small animal clients who can't easily get
to our surgery and for the home euthanasia of sick or aged animals. However
in most other cases, it is preferable if you can bring your pet to the surgery to be
examined. We can then make use of the equipment, facilities and dispensary at
the surgery, in order to give your pet the best treatment available.
For our Farm and Equine clients, we have a totally separate department at the practice. Having its own entrance, reception area and
dispensary helps to minimise waiting times and maximise efficiency.
If you would like a Vet to visit your farm, or to examine your horse - please phone our Large Animal Department on 01326 572215
Reception opening hours are 8-30am to 5-30pm Mon and Frid
8-30am to 6pm Tues, Wed and Thur
8-30am to 12-30pm Sat
We are PDSA Pet Aid Practice. Treatment is free of charge, but only for those pet owners that are in receipt of Housing Benefit or
Council Tax Benefit and who pre-register for PDSA PetAid services, before their pet falls sick or is injured. Treatment doesn't cover
routine services, such as vaccinations, wormers, flea treatments, routine health checks, house calls or examinations out of hours.
We provide our own 24 hr emergency service, on 365 days of the year. Out of hours, you will see one of our usual Vets at our Helston
surgery - you won't have to travel to another practice! Our Nurses are also on call out of hours, to help with emergency operations
and intensive medical cases.
(Not for making appointments or for specific medical advice!)
