Holidaymakers are especially welcome at the practice.
Every year, we see large numbers of holidaymakers with their pets at the practice. We have a well equipped small animal department, with dedicated Vets.
We will liase with and obtain all the necessary clinical records from your usual Veterinary practice, we will also make sure that your own vet receives full details regarding our consultations and treatments given here.
If you run out of your pet's regular medication whilst you are on holiday, please let us know. as we can contact your usual Veterinary Practice for you and with their permission, supply the medication to you. If your usual Vet recommends that a consultation is necessary before we dispense the medication, or if your pet requires a regular examination for an ongoing problem whilst you are on holiday, we will be happy to conduct a full clinical examination on our pet.
Annual health check and booster: We would be happy to carry out an annual health check and booster vaccination for your pet if it is due whilst you are staying in our area. In addition to giving the booster injection, we will also give your pet a full clinical examination.
Consultations during the daytime are by appointment - except of course for those emergencies that require immediate attention. We do request though - even for emergencies, that you phone the practice first if at all possible, so that we can make the necessary preparations before your arrival.
Out of hours, we will be happy to see you at our practice if an emergency arises. We provide a 24 hour emergency service and the phone number is the usual 01326 572216. If you phone this number out of hours, you will speak to a member of our phone deputising service, who will immediately contact our duty Vet. The duty Vet, will then make arrangements for your pet to be seen at the surgery.
