Tony Ross qualified from Edinburgh University in 1971, after a childhood spent in Edinburgh, London, Cyprus and then Yorkshire.
After working in mixed practices in the Midlands and Cumbria, Tony moved to Head and Head in 1978. He is now spending more time in the small animal side of the practice, in part due to the fact that years of wrestling with large animals have taken its toll on his back! He particularly enjoys small animal consulting and soft tissue (especially abdominal) surgery. He also enjoys
rabbit medicine and surgery.Tony undertakes most of the canine and feline export work, for clients wishing to take their pets abroad, either to live or for holidays. His partnership duties include organising the Veterinary rotas and TB tests. Outside of work, his interests include DIY, travel, painting and photography.
Paul Riley grew up in Derbyshire and qualified from Edinburgh University in 1983. After working in mixed practices in Wales, Derbyshire, Cambridgeshire and Dubai (where work included exotics and camels), he moved to Helston in 1993. Paul particularly enjoys ophthalmic cases, surgery (especially orthopaedics, plastic and abdominal) and treating exotics - including reptiles and the seals at the National Seal Sanctuary at Gweek. Paul spends much of his time with small animals and exotics nowadays, but still enjoys large animal work - especially calvings and lambings. His partnership duties include being responsible for the Information Technology side of the practice and organising the Practice Pharmacy.Being A3 qualified, he is also Practice Principal of the Nurse Training Centre. Paul enjoys running (when not injured!), piano playing, gardening  and computers. As a member of BDMLR, he has attended several successful whale and dolphin reflotations.
